Introduction


    • Introduction: The name of the company we selected is Everlasting Haven & Spa. We did a Business report and interview on Gina Vilca who owns a small business in Westfield, New Jersey. Through running an in-depth analysis of the company’s processes, we will propose solutions to identified problems within Everlasting Spa & Wellness Studio. Our purpose is to research the business processes and information systems of the company and determine if they support the strategies for their business.  Gina, who has had a passion since she was a young adult at the age of 18 years old. She started her career as a cosmetologist and was licensed from the NJ license Cosmetology. Then a couple of years later she went back to school after obtaining her cosmetologist license she began to study to become a massage therapist; because she loved to improve someone's well-being through therapy and then had the opportunity to start her own spa at Westfield.

    • Thesis: Through running an in depth analysis of the company’s processes, we will propose solutions to identified problems within Everlasting Spa & Wellness Studio.

    • Purpose: To research the processes and information systems of the company and determine if they support the business strategy

    • Size: Small business, it is a privately owned store; There is only 1 store located in Westfield New Jersey with only 5 employees that do the operations around the store. 

    • Products and Services: Some products that are offered are Shira Organics, Nature Pure, Pfb, Sugaring, Cryotherapy. Services that are offered are skin care, facial, massages, lipo melt, anti cellulite treatment, microdermabrasion. 

    • Customers are based on appointments and can range from 5-8 clients daily during COVID. Before COVID the client range would be 10-16 daily. 

    • Critical processes: Preparing rooms for clients, stock laundry for spa, managing product inventory, preparing customer forms, cleaning and sanitizing work areas, customer service.
